Day 8 March 8, 2026
 
Do you feel rested? Often you remain so busy with the everyday responsibilities of life that you forget to be still and know that God is God. He loves you far more than you will ever understand while on this earth. Slow down and enjoy time with God. Many around you pressure you to do more and achieve more every day, but God wants you to know that being is much more important than doing. God wants you to be with Him more than He wants you to do something for Him. God does not need anything; however, He wants to spend time with you because He loves you. You are His child, created by Him and for Him. Rest in God and He will give you a peace that is beyond human understanding. As you draw close to God you can rest assured, He will draw close to you. God’s message to you is clear; He is waiting for you to draw close to His side.
 
Matthew 11:28
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Psalm 46:10
Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.

Dear God,
Please show me areas where I need to slow down and be still before You. I pray You will bring revival to my life, my family’s life, and the life of my church family. I come to You today to rest in You.

Day 7 March 7, 2026
 
Deep roots allow trees to receive the water and nutrients they need to flourish. Those same roots also provide the necessary security for trees to withstand the strong winds that come their way. God has created you in much the same way; for you too need deep roots. You need to be deeply rooted in God’s Word so you will receive the spiritual nutrients you require. There is no substitute for God’s Word when it comes to providing the sustenance needed for a successful life. There is no substitute for God’s Word when the strong winds of strife come to you and to your family. When you are deeply rooted in God’s Word and in God Himself, you are able to withstand the strongest winds the world or the Devil bring your way.

Psalm 1:3
He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.
 
Psalm 33:4
For the word of the LORD is right and true; he is faithful in all he does.
 
Matthew 7:17-20
Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.

Dear God,
You are the very nutrition I need for life. I will never be mature spiritually without continuing to be watered and fed by You and Your Word. I commit to You today that I will spend more time with You so I can grow and glorify You. Set my heart on fire for You, I pray. Set the heart of our church on fire for You.

Day 5 March 5, 2026 
 
Eagles soar above most other birds as they gracefully ride the atmospheric currents. While other birds remain relatively close to the ground, eagles allow the wind to lift them gently to new heights. The wind beneath the wings of the eagle allows this majestic creature to rise into the heavenly realms and view what few other creatures have the pleasure of seeing. God is here with you to lift you to new heights. He is able to take you to places you’ve never been. When you allow God’s Spirit to be your strength, you experience much more than the average person. Choose to go to God, spend more time with Him, and let Him lift you to the lofty spiritual realms He has designed for you.

Isaiah 40:31
But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. 
 
Ephesians 3:20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.

Dear God,
You enable me to soar and for that I give You praise and thanks. I understand that You are able to use the winds of life, even the storms of life, to lift me to places I otherwise would never reach. Oh God, I commit to spend more time with You in prayer and the study of Your Word so that You will be magnified even more in my life.

Day 4 March 4, 2026 
 
Eating the right kind of food is important for providing the physical nourishment you need each day. God has made available good, healthy options for you to enjoy. Just as food is essential for your physical well- being, the spiritual food God provides is even more important. Before runners participate in a long run, they eat foods that provide the energy required to complete the race. Each day you have a race set before you. God is proud of you for taking time right now to be with Him because you need His spiritual food to enable you to run the race of life effectively. Spend more time in God’s Word, feeding on the spiritual bread He has for you, and you will discover the energy needed to win the race in which you are now competing.
Matthew 4:4 
Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” 
Job 23:12
I have not departed from the commands of his lips; I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my daily bread. 
Isaiah 26:8-9
Yes, LORD, walking in the way of your laws, we wait for you; your name and renown are the desire of our hearts. My soul yearns for you in the night; in the morning my spirit longs for you. When your judgments come upon the earth, the people of the world learn righteousness.

Dear God,
I need to eat the spiritual food that is found in Your Word. I come to You now seeking to be filled by You so that I can be used to magnify Your name. I commit to spend more time reading, meditating, and studying Your Word.

Day 3 
March 3, 2026
 
On a hot dry day, few things, if any, satisfy your thirst like fresh, cold water. Whether it is a deer running through the fields on a hot summer day or you running through life and experiencing struggles and difficulties, nothing can quench thirst like good, pure water. God uses the fresh, cool water of springs to comfort you and animals physically, and He uses the fresh, cool water of His Spirit to refresh you and bless you spiritually. Many people understand the importance of physical refreshment, but few really understand the need for spiritual refreshment. God created you as a spiritual being who needs His spiritual refreshment each moment of every day. Choose daily to drink of God and His Word and be refreshed by His Holy Spirit!

John 4:14
But whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life. 
 
John 7:38-39 Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him. By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified.

Dear God,
I desperately need You. I come running to You so that Your Spirit can refresh me. Sin in my life keeps me from always being as close to You as I need to be. Apathy keeps me from experiencing all the great blessings You have in store for me. Change my heart, Oh God, I pray.
