Garry Irvin
Children's Pastor
Read Gary's Bio
Garry Irvin began his ministry at Grace Baptist Church on April 8, 1994. He received a bachelor of science and master of religious education degrees from Liberty University and Liberty Theological Seminary in Lynchburg, Virginia. Garry served in Virginia for 12 years as the Children's Pastor of boys and girls in the 1st - 3rd grades at the 22,000 member, Thomas Road Baptist Church, the late Dr. Jerry Falwell, pastor. The greatest day in Garry's life was when he came to know Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Saviour and surrendered to the ministry at age 18 while attending a summer church camp. It was at camp that Garry learned to stop trying to merit God's favor for salvation, and start trusting by faith what Jesus had already done on the cross for him. The next most special day was when Garry married his wife Cheryl, followed by the birth of his three children, Bethany, Steven and John. God added more blessings when their children gave them six wonderful grand sons: Ty, Gabriel, Luke, Levi, Ezekiel, Miles and one beautiful grand daughter, Bailey. Garry knows that children and their families are the foundation for building a strong and healthy church. Children are special because God has a unique purpose and plan for each young life. Therefore, everything they do at Grace Baptist Church is for the purpose of reaching boys and girls for Christ and teaching them to be productive members in the family of God. You and your family are invited to worship and fellowship with us as we gather each week to celebrate God's love and study His Word together.
